EDQM brochure " Open minds, free minds – No easy prey for counterfeit medicines and similarly dangerous medicines“
In 2015 the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and HealthCare (EDQM) published a brochure "Open minds, free minds", which contains a number of practical guidelines on how to protect public health from counterfeit medical products and similarly dangerous crimes.
The brochure was prepared in the framework of the programme of activities carried out by the Committee of Experts on minimising public health risks posed by counterfeiting of medical products and similar crimes, co-ordinated by EDQM.
In 2020 the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) prepared a translation of a shortened version of the brochure (available in Croatian), which contains an introductory part (Chapters 1 and 2) and two interactive comics aimed at raising awareness of the risks of counterfeit medical products and similarly dangerous crimes among among children aged 8-11 years (Attachment 1. Comic "Nikolinin spas") and adolescents aged 12-15 years (Appendix 2. Comic " Tinejdžerska iskušenja").
