HALMED joins the International Rare Disease Day Manifestation

The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) will, in collaboration with the Croatian Association for Rare Diseases participate in the activities supporting the International Rare Disease Day.
HALMED representatives will be holding workshops within this manifestation about the importance of adverse reaction reporting:
- 18 February 2014 in Osijek, in collaboration with the Croatian Medical Students’ International Committee (CroMSIC)
- 19 February 2014 in Rijeka, in collaboration with the Croatian Medical Students’ International Committee (CroMSIC)
- 19 February 2014 in Pula, in collaboration with the Association of Blind of Istria County - Pula
- 20 February 2014 in Split, in collaboration with the Association of Patients with Collagenosis
- 21 February 2014 in Dubrovnik, in collaboration with the Association Together to Health - Association of Chronically Ill Child
- 21 February 2014 in Bjelovar, in collaboration with the Association of People with Physical Disabilities Bjelovar
- 21 February 2014 in Križevci, in collaboration with the Association of Disabled People Križevci
- 1 March 2014 in Sveti Ivan Zelina, in collaboration with the Association Heart - Association of Children with Difficulties in Development, Disabled Persons and Their Families
On the occasion of the International Rare Diseases Day, the 3rd Croatian Symposium and National Conference on Rare Diseases with International Participation will take place from 27-28 February 2014 in Zagreb. The organisers of the Conference are the Croatian Society for rare Diseases of the Croatian Medical Association and the Croatian Association for Rare Diseases. The HALMED experts will give presentations within this Conference about the importance of adverse reactions reporting and the role of the Agency and medicines affordability after the EU Accession. 7th International Day of Rare Diseases is manifested on 28 February 2014. This manifestation was initiated in 2008 by the European Organisation for Rare diseases (EURORDIS). It aims at raising awareness among wider public and decision makers on rare diseases as well as on the impact of these decisions on patients’ lives.
