HALMED’s representatives at pharmacovigilance workshop in CALIMS

18.05.2015

An educative workshop for qualified persons for pharmacovigilance was held on 15 May 2015 in Podgorica at the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Montenegro (CALIMS). In addition to CALIMS representatives, lectures on the key responsibilities of all stakeholders in the medicines safety monitoring were also held by HALMED representatives, Darko Krnić, MD and Sandra Dujmović.

HALMED representatives shared the Croatian experiences with participants regarding the evolution of the marketing authorisation’s qualified person for pharmacovigilance as well as with the procedure for reporting suspected adverse reactions. 58 participants attended the workshop. CALIMS representatives were very contented with the response of qualified persons in Montenegro to participate at the workshop. Their interest is based on their serious awareness of the QP’s role as stipulated by legislation, where marketing authorisation holders are obliged to establish and continuously improve the pharmacovigilance system.
