Important notice on obligation of reporting medicines consumption data to HALMED

Under Medicinal Products Act (Official Gazette 76/13, 90/14) and Ordinance on type of data and procedure for creating reports on medicines consumption (Official Gazette 122/17), all natural and legal entities involved in wholesale of medicinal products and legal or physical entities involved in retail of medicinal products are obliged to report to HALMED at least once a year data on medicines consumption.

In accordance with the above, we would like to highlight several important notices related to data reporting:

  1. Reports should be sent to HALMED electronically by using the Farmakoekonomika application
  2. Data required to access the application are: reporter’s code, user name and password
  3. Reports should be submitted to HALMED by 1st March 2015. It is possible to prolong the deadline, upon reporter’s request no later than the end of March this year
  4. The following data are reported to HALMED: reporter’s code, year for which data are reported, medicinal product’s code, number of sold packs, number of sold packs on the list of the Croatian Health Insurance Institute (wholesalers report their data as "NOT reimbursed by the Croatian Health Insurance Institute”) wholesale price for original pack
  5. Wholesale price reported for certain medicinal product is the wholesale price of original pack that was valid on 31 December 2014
  6. Wholesalers report their data in a way that the total turnover they report, they do not display turnovers implemented towards other wholesalers, whereas all other turnover should be reported
  7. Medicines consumption code that should be matched with reporter’s code is accessible here
  8. The reporting procedure is not finished until all reporter’s data have not been matched with HALMED’s codes. In the case that some data are not matched, reporters are advised to contact the HALMED staff members to investigate and remedy difficulties, so that data may be completely received.
