Seminars, Workshops and Other Events

The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of the Republic of Croatia organises lectures/seminars/workshops/conferences with the aim of informing and educating broader public about the most recent developments in the Agency's work and European and Croatian regulations governing the field of medicinal products and medical devices, which are instrumental for assurance of their quality, efficacy and safety.

Lectures are intended for healthcare professionals, representatives of manufacturers of medicinal products and/or medical devices, representatives of wholesalers and retailers of medicinal products and/or medical devices, as well as for other interested parties to whom such new information may be of assistance in their work.

Lectures will be given by prominent experts from national regulatory bodies, generic and innovative industry and the academia.

The announcement of the conference/seminar contains programme, participation terms and conditions and registration method, while the overview accompanying a brief description of events also contains lecturers' summaries or complete presentations, speeches and photos from the conference/seminar.

Postgraduate continuous medical education course “Pharmacogenetics and pharmacovigilance – preventing adverse reactions in individualisation of therapy”

On 6 December 2013, a postgraduate continuous medical education course entitled “Pharmacogenetics and pharmacovigilance – preventing adverse reactions in individualisation of therapy” will be held at CHC Rebro in Zagreb. The course is organised by the Zagreb School of Medicine, Clinical Hospital Centre Zagreb and Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED).
The course is for physicians of all specialisations, physicians in primary care, pharmacists and other healthcare providers.

Symposium “Adverse reactions – challenges and solutions”

The symposium “Adverse reactions – challenges and solutions” will be held on 22 November 2013 in the grand lecture hall of the Public Health Institute “Dr Andrija Štampar” in Zagreb. The symposium is organised by the Croatian Academy for Medical sciences, Public Health Institute “Dr Andrija Štampar” and Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices.

3rd Workshop on medicines regulatory affairs

Following the announcement about one day workshops on medicines regulatory affairs, organised by the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices, we inform all interested that the third workshop will be held on Friday, 25 October 2013 at 9 a.m. (the approximate duration until 4 p.m.) at HALMED’s premises , Robert Frangeš Mihanović Street 9 (Sky Business office), 1st Floor, 10000 Zagreb. The first workshop will be held on Friday, 27 September 2013, from 9 to 16 h.

The Workshop: “ICH Endorsed Pharmacovigilance”

The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) and the Drug Information Association (DIA) are organising a workshop on ICH standards for pharmacovigilance (E2) entitled “ICH Endorsed Pharmacovigilance”. The workshop will be held on 28 and 29 November 2013, at HALMED’s premises, Robert Frangeš Mihanović Street 9 (Sky Office Building).

The workshop will include topics related to pharmacovigilance standards impleneted in a pre- and post-authorisation phase and the implementation of ICH guidelines in an international environment. The workshop includes also case studies and examples from practice.
