Seminars, Workshops and Other Events

The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of the Republic of Croatia organises lectures/seminars/workshops/conferences with the aim of informing and educating broader public about the most recent developments in the Agency's work and European and Croatian regulations governing the field of medicinal products and medical devices, which are instrumental for assurance of their quality, efficacy and safety.

Lectures are intended for healthcare professionals, representatives of manufacturers of medicinal products and/or medical devices, representatives of wholesalers and retailers of medicinal products and/or medical devices, as well as for other interested parties to whom such new information may be of assistance in their work.

Lectures will be given by prominent experts from national regulatory bodies, generic and innovative industry and the academia.

The announcement of the conference/seminar contains programme, participation terms and conditions and registration method, while the overview accompanying a brief description of events also contains lecturers' summaries or complete presentations, speeches and photos from the conference/seminar.

HALMED-Info-Day and a Workshop for QPs in Pharmacovigilance - "What changes did the new Ordinance bring?"

HALMED-Info-Day will be held on 16 September 2010, and a Workshop for a QP in Pharmacovigilance on 17-18 September 2010, within the Sixth Croatian Congress of Pharmacology with International Participation.

The Congress will be held on 15-18 September 2010 in Opatija, in Millenium Grand Hotel 4 opatijska cvijeta, organised by the Croatian Pharmacological Society (HDF), School of Medicine of the University of Rijeka and Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED).

During the plenary lectures organised by the HALMED, the Head of the Agency and experts from the HALMED will present the activities within the HALMED's scope of work. The lectures will present an occasion for interactive discussion with the HALMED experts.

Lectures dedicated to pharmaceutical regulatory affairs at the Fourth Croatian Congress on Pharmacy

Lectures dedicated to pharmaceutical regulatory affairs will take place on 27 and 29 May 2010 in Opatija, Hotel Ambasador, within the Regulatory Sciences Section of the Fourth Croatian Congress on Pharmacy with international participation.

The Congress will be held on 27-30 May 2010 in the Hotel Ambasador, in Opatija, organised by the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society (HFD) in cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the University of Zagreb, and the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices.

The Second Croatian Congress on Adverse Reactions to Psychopharmacs with international participation

On 11-14 March 2010, the Croatian town of Rovinj will host the Second Croatian Congress on Adverse Reactions to Psychopharmacs with international participation. The Congress is organised by the Croatian Medical Association's Society of Clinical Psychiatry and Society for Biological Psychiatry and Psychopharmacotherapy, and "Vjeverica" Health Promotion Association, under the auspices of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices.

Workshops on how to work with and use the Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities (MedDRA) in pharmacovigilance

The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices, in collaboration with the Maintenance and Support Services Organization for MedDRA (MSSO) organises in February 2010 two workshops in the use of the Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities (MedDRA).

The workshops are intended for pharmacovigilance officials of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices, Marketing Authorisation Holders and Clinical Trial Sponsors.

The first (1st) workshop, "Coding with MedDRA", providing the basics of coding with MedDRA, will be held on 8 February 2010 (Monday).

The second (2nd) workshop, "MedDRA Safety Data Analysis and SMQs", will be held on 9 February 2010 (Tuesday).
